I love the outdoors & my jeep
jeepin, campin, huntin, fishin. tryin to keep my 226,000 mile, '88 xj, pioneer running. It has a stock drive train. I-6, np231, aw4. 3.53's, I believe, in a dana 30 and 35.
While scouring xj's in junkyards all over mn. and sd, for a rear dana 44, I found one...along with a 3" lift!!!. The lift is in but the 44 still needs work. All for $250.00! About a year prior I located a con-fer rack in a junkyard. $60.00, a little griding and paint...I love junkyards. They seem to have replaced a few previous intrest's. Painting and music.
I have 24 yr old son and a 21 yr old daughter in-law. He is in the ARMY and she is a new mommy. They are stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. With the 101st. AB, 3rd. 187th. Could't be prouder.

Working on editing a TV spot from two days wheeling in the Mountains of West Virginia
I was in the emergency services as a fire chief and EMS Services Director for 24 years in Louisville KY. After I retired I went back to school at the University of Colorado and earned a BA and several MS and MBA's. I now own a company called Environments as well as one called OffRoad Rage. Environments is a software engineering, web production, and video / TV production company. One of our current television projects is an off road adventure show for CMT TV which will highlight offroading and many country stars. It is being filmed on many of the trails that the Jamboree use so watch for it early in (2010). Offroad Rage is a company that develops turn-key jeep conversions. If you want a jeep that you can hit the town at night and turn heads but the next morning hit the trails into the back country and travel with the best, then were for you.
Anticipating the next trail ride
Hi, I am Dan. I wanted a YJ when I bought my first car, but my mom said it was too dangerous and wouldn't co-sign for a death trap. In college I had my first test drive in a Jeep, my older brother and I rented a TJ in the San Juan Triangle in Colorado, and I was foaming at the mouth to get one, but waited 6 and a half years until I was able to fulfill my dream. Finally, after a little coaxing from my older brother, I jumped the chance to buy a 2005 leftover in Feb. 2006. Since then I have gone down the same bumpy path as all Jeep owners, spend, spend, spend, until my dream is complete or at least satisfactory.
