This is the Jeep I'm driving today... originally from our tv show and needs some updating & tlc now, but still gets around OK for now.

Description
(from Trekken circa '01) ...We started with the most solid foundation we could find for a dual-purpose trail rig, the TJ Wrangler. We searched almost every paper and dealership for one with all our required specs, specifically the I-6 engine with ABS brakes and an automatic transmission wrapped in white. These examples are rather hard to find, as most people understandably want to hold on to them for their own builds.

BTW, some have asked why the choice of an automatic transmission? Simple-- real world driving. It gives plenty of control for almost all trail obstacles, while being unmatched for ease of use on the highway and around town on the way to events. Even highly technical trail obstacles can still be handled very well, they just require slightly different driving techniques [in addition to] the two-footed (break and gas simultaneously) method.

A pristine example caught our eye at the All American Jeep dealership in Tamaqua, PA, and later were happy to find that it originally belonged to Mike Rauch's (from OK4WD) family. Knowing Mike had taken extremely good care of it, we picked it up and brought it down to OK4WD where they transformed it into one of the best examples of all-around capability using our brand new, pre-selected components (see list below).

For about three or four months, OK's warehouse in Stewartsville, NJ, was ground-zero for shipment after shipment of what we considered the best-in-class upgrades of every kind. From tires to GPS to tire pressure monitors, we worked with industry manufacturers to provide us with their best gear [at the time] for display on our Tech Talk Jeeps and television show. Special thanks to Jim Oostdyk, Mike Rauch, & staff, advertisers, and our crew for putting in the extra work to bring our rigs to life.
