Status Updates - create a new content type
We might create a new "status" content type to expand and allow members to create individual entries into the system, so it might say something like the following on our "What's New?" page:
MEMBERNAME is WHATEVERYOUTYPE
So how is this different than our current "status" implementation you can change under your profile or search on our members page? Well, the profile entries are great but they don't show up on the main What's New page, so we have to create a new content type-- not hard, but do drop suggestions/comments below if you'd like to see it done any particular way before we actually implement it.
