Is the Jeep Patriot suitable for a Jamboree??

I know initially a lot of people will think no automatically but here me out.

At the end of last year I traded the KJ in for my MK, it is the FDII “trail rated” model with the “off-road Package” (stock skids, tow hook, etc.) along with that I have lifted it with a 2.25” lift from Rocky Road. Currently I have stock tires, however in May I’ll be swapping the stock tires out for 265/45R17 29.5” Firestone Destination AT tires. This is the setup I would have for the PennWoods Jamboree.

I guess my question is do you think this setup would be suitable for the Moderately demanding trails?? (3-5 ratings) I would hate to spend the money on the Jamboree and only be on the 1-2 rating trails

Background about me:
I have previously owned a lifted 91 YJ and a lifted 04 KJ, I have wheeled with both of them at Paragon and Rauch Creek many of times, I used to belong to a DEJA, Delaware Jeep Association but left when I moved to NJ. (I only provide this info so people don't think that I'm a novice to wheeling.)

FAQ, MyRide...

Sounds like you've done some nice things to it... wasn't sure if you were asking more for member opinions or official docs, so don't forget to check out the JJUSA Event FAQ for official vehicle questions as well.

Also, would be great to see some pics-- haven't personally seen a lifted Patriot yet (yeah I don't get out much Eye-wink)-- so maybe you make a MyRides for it to post 'em up for us to check out?

"Jeep vehicles must have four-wheel drive with a low-range (4-LO) transfer case. Patriot and Compass vehicles equipped with 4WD systems may participate in Jeep Jamborees with trail ratings of 1 or 2"

Specificly about the Patriot, does this mean even with my Modifications I'd be stuck riding on trail ratings 1 and 2?

contact JJUSA event group?

Good question, but I'm not sure because I'm with the Interact group. Since yours is modified probably best if you contact JJUSA's event group directly for the official word on flexibility... see link on right side-bar for their full contact info.

The Trail Ratings portion of

The Trail Ratings portion of this site gives the strong impression that the Patriot could go on all but those trails rated as 10's...

So long as you have the CVTII (running the RRO lift is a plus) you should be allowed to run the 3-4s if not the 5-6s... You may have to prove your self and sign a stack of waivers!

Now, I am not connected with Jeep, the Jamboree, this site, or even a dealership... I am just calling it as I see it.

Have fun, work your way up the trail rankings. Start easy and climb up the ratings... oh, make sure to get some good photos for sharing.

I have posted some pics into the MyRides section of my Patriot and two other that have been lifted.

Looking good! BTW you should

Looking good! BTW you should also be able to make one of these your profile pic; choose either and the system should (fingers... er, I mean... axles crossed) auto-resize it for you to fit.

thanks for the tip.
