Intergated Mapping
I am looking at getting a Garmin Nuvi 550 because of its off road ability. Does anyone know of any auto GPS units that can do the intergrated map thing like the google map from Snowshoe WV?

Great question, Equis' GPS map (link below) was very cool. I haven't shopped/researched GPS units in a quite a while, still using the ol' Street Pilot + iPhone, but you can check out a few previous member posts on it at http://theunpaved.com/jjusa/search/node/gps and also check out both Gizmodo (http://gizmodo.com/) and Engadget (http://www.engadget.com/) as they often review those, and maybe a general Google search on "KML + Garmin" or similar (KML is the data format). BTW also check with member Equis about their WV post over at http://theunpaved.com/jjusa/forum/gps-fun-snowshoe in case they have some ideas on what system they used, recommend, etc? Let us know what you find!
FYI just saw this quick review on Engadget... not sure if it does the KML, but maybe worth a look to see what other units they link to/from there: http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/23/nuvi-885t-reviewed-speech-recognition...
