Am I good to go.....?
Just bought a 2000-TJ Sahara, automatic 3-speed, with the 4.0L. The jeep is lifted (body & suspension) with 35" mudders. The axles and gears are stock (30-front, 35-rear & 3:07). Runs great and has the power (low & high speeds). I've got tow hooks on the front also....that's about it.
With this standard package, am I OK hitting the trails rated 1-5...? Thanks, and open to any suggestions or add-ons.

You're good to go, just remember that everyone has to take a strap at some point. You will definately want to upgrade your axles and get lockers at some point.
Good luck.
I've got one of those "yellow" tow straps (heavy duty). Why do you think I would need to switch out my axles...?
With the larger tires, your 35's, the stock 30/35 axles become a weak point. Larger tires put more strain on the drive line. That's why you typically see larger gears, more than your 3.07's to compensate for the larger tires. But then the axles themselves become the next item in line to fail - they are just not strong enough for hard core activity when you upsize the tires. Then your transfer case, transmission and engine may need attention, i.e. component upgrade or replacement.
Going big usually entails upgrading many components, not just tires. You affect gearing, drive line angles, steering geometry, center of gravity and general performance. Hence, they can become money pits.
Mine is a 2001 TJ with stock setup and 30x9.50 BFG AT's. I've heard that even stock, they should be fine.
I'm headed down to the Land Between the Lakes Jamboree (KY) next week. I'm hoping to have a blast.
You didn't really say if you had a rear tow hook. I'm pretty sure it's mandatory for the Jamborees.

I have a 2007 Wrangler X, it has a "Trail Rated" emblem on it, not exactly sure if that helps me or not but anyway it's all stock off the showroom floor. Am I ok to go on a jamboree? I talked to a tire place and I guess my tires are 30" (P245/75R16) and it says M+S on them which I'm guessing is mud/snow? Any advice would be helpful, I don't want to sign up and then be out of luck.
Thanks,
