I always liked this Jeep - it was my friend's XJ for since new. Well, after my first Jamboree as a passenger, I decided to get myself a Cherokee - which happened to be the same time my friend got "minivanitus". He was going to get ripped off on a trade-in so he gave a good deal on it. It is a 98 with no rust - which is a rare find in Ohio. He babied this thing and it had never seen dirt (until I got ahold of it Evil )

This XJ is my daily driver and errand runner. It currently has 135K miles on it. It gets 300-400 miles a week put on it. I plan on running till the motor blows and then put in a Hemi Jawdropping! In other words - I hope to keep it forever - but we'll see.

I have been saving up for each of my upgrades - I only pay cash for everything so the going has been slow - but I have been able to get a 3" lift and 31" Trxuss tires for it. I also have Skid Row Skid plates (engine/tranny/xfer case/gas tank) and some beefy homemade rock rails installed. I have the spare tire on the roof now to get it out of the way. Bumpers/winch to come next year. Maybe some air lockers in a couple years. I'm not going to be a dork and list all the fancy crap like the radio/lights/stickers/etc (I can't stand when people list their APC crap/sub woofers as a "mod") And if we go higher with the lift in the future & larger tires - I'll have to get another daily driver (stock XJ) to make this Jeep last longer.
